Pi Youth Association, will be holding the Izmir Opening Meeting of the "Civil Society Dialogue for Empowering Youth-Works in Local" Project.
NGOs, public enterprises and members of the press are coming together at the opening meeting of the project, which aims to increase the dialogue between non-governmental organizations working in the field of youth in Turkey and Europe and to strengthen the capacity on the chapter "Social policy and employment" of the EU acquis.
The " Civil Society Dialogue for Empowering Youth-Works in Local " project, which will be carried out jointly by Pi Youth Association and the non-governmental organization Stichting Bloom Foundation from the Netherlands, will start with the opening meeting at Karaca Cultural Center on June 30, 2021.
The Project will strengthen the capacities of youth workers and non-governmental organizations working in the youth field on issues such as increasing the employment rate, improving working and living conditions, establishing appropriate levels of social protection systems, establishing dialogue with social partners, developing human resources for a sustainable employment structure, combating social exclusion and poverty, and providing equal opportunities for women and men. The biggest aim of the Project is to strengthen the civil society dialogue between Turkey and the European Union on these issues.
NGOs, representatives of public institutions and members of the press will come together at the Izmir opening meeting, where the project that will last for 15 months will be introduced.
The project, in which Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is also a participating institution, received grant support within the scope of the sixth period of the Civil Society Dialogue Program implemented by the Republic Of Turkey Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the financial support of the European Union. The Contracting Authority of the Program is the Central Finance and Contracts Unit.
“Civil Society Dialogue” is a grant program that aims to bring together non-governmental organizations in Turkey and the European Union around common issues in order to exchange knowledge and experience and to build a lasting dialogue. Civil Society Dialogue is instrumental in bringing EU norms and good practice examples to our country through cooperation and partnerships developed between non-governmental organizations in Turkey and the EU in areas related to the EU acquis.
Pi Youth Association is an Izmir-based non-governmental organization working to strengthen the capacities of youth and youth work in Turkey. In addition to these works, the association also carries out activities for individuals between the ages of 15-30, these activities are for the rights that young people need to have and for the problems that need to be resolved.
It draws the necessary strength for its work from the young people whose rights it defends. Pi Youth Association, working with youth for youth, has organized many projects, activities and events to accomplish their mission since its establishment on 14 March 2014.
